Deka Lash is Open for Business

Deka Lash Company is a lashing business that preforms multiple beauty adjustments for the eye. They are mainly known for their eyelash extensions, but they also offer lash lifts and lash tinting. Located around the Centennial area, you can find five different locations.

In order to be an employee there, applicants must have already gone to school and obtained an esthetician license. When started at the salon, employees must also go through an eyelash training program offered by Deka Lash.

The company takes their work very seriously and like to ensure accuracy within their employees. Deka Lash Company is all about providing high quality services that offer completely safe eyelash adjustments. Their services offer a variety that is suitable for any eye shape, color or size.

Deka Lash is a very popular place to go and get something done, but after COVID-19 hit the United States, Deka Lash was forced to close their doors. With not only new customers coming in, Deka also had to suffer the loss of their members coming in as well.

The salon was closed for well over two months with little to no information on when they would reopen their doors. Not only was this bad for business, but it was also hard on the employees. Most of the workers at the Lone Tree location are young new estheticians with Deka Lash as their first and only job after finishing school. Most of their employees are in their 20's, and almost all had to file for unemployment.

Once salons began opening up, a glimmer of light began to shine for Deka employees. Lash stylists were beginning to become hopeful to open until Deka decided to keep their doors closed for a few more weeks.

After two and a half long months, Deka Lash finally opened their doors. With having a few weeks of training before reopening, Deka is more than happy to welcome all their familiar faces back.

Earlier last week, lash stylists began sending out emails welcoming back their regulars and began booking appointments. Although things seem to be going back to normal, stylists are only being assigned two to three shifts per week, when these are the stylists that worked every day before closing.

With all of the financial recovery needed at the salons, most employees are having to split shifts and are not as available to take appointments. Because of COVID-19, many employees are still having to look for other work and continue to be on unemployment.

Although the reopening of the salon is starting off slow, things are expected to pick up after seeing what is to come within the next month. Deka is beginning to dip their toes in to see the water, but things may change depending on the severity of the virus.

Deka is already beginning to see business coming back and they are taking every precaution possible in order to keep a safe and sanitized salon.
